In a year like no other, BMI is once again very excited to be congratulating its many talented affiliates who received GRAMMY nominations in recognition of their contributions to the year’s most impactful music. As the industry’s highest accolade, the prestigious GRAMMY Awards celebrate the very best in the fields of songwriting, composing, crafting and producing, and BMI is very proud that so many of its affiliates have been singled out as contenders for these honors.
In the General Field category, BMI songwriters made a strong showing, with “Circles” by Post Malone getting nods for both Record of The Year and Song of The Year, along with his album, Hollywood’s Bleeding, getting one for Album of The Year. Taylor Swift received two nods for Album of The Year for Folklore and Song of The Year for “Cardigan.” Megan Thee Stallion also took two nominations in the General Field, those being for Record of The Year for “Savage” and for Best New Artist. Other BMI affiliates up for that award are Ingrid Andress, CHIKA, Noah Cyrus, Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion.
Stay tuned for the full list of all BMI’s nominated affiliates, which will be posted here soon. The 63rd GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast on Sunday, January 31, 2021, on CBS at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
