Tanya Roberts, who starred in That ’70s Show and A View To A Kill, is reportedly still alive, contradicting reports of her death yesterday.

The 65-year-old American actress had collapsed on Christmas eve after going for a walk with her dogs, TMZ had previously reported. She was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Despite reports from her representative that she died on Sunday (January 3), Roberts’ partner Lance O’Brien received a call from Cedars-Sinai Hospital mid-interview with Inside Edition on January 4 telling him that Roberts was still alive.

“Now you’re telling me she’s alive? Oh thank the Lord, thank God,” O’Brien said over the phone.

“The hospital is telling me she’s alive. They’re calling me from the ICU team.”

O’Brien said that due to hospital protocols, he was not permitted to be at Roberts’ bedside until what he thought were her final moments.

“When she saw me and I was there, I saw her eyes open up. I felt good. I said, ‘Hey, her eyes are opening. Her eyes are opening.’ They told me that’s just a reflex,” he said.

He was also reportedly told by hospital staff that Roberts “had no hope to live”.

According to Inside Edition, Roberts was not diagnosed with COVID-19, but was placed on a ventilator because she was struggling to breathe.

According to TMZ, Roberts’ apparent death was confirmed by her friend and representative Mike Pingel, who also sent out a press release with relevant information.

Pingel had told The Hollywood Reporter that he was “devastated” and notified her fans of her purported death on her official Facebook fan page:

I’m very sad to have to post this. Yes, Tanya passed away today. I’m heart broken. Mike Pingel

Pingel has now officially retracted those prior reports of her death, The Guardian reports, telling the Associated Press that Pingel was still alive as of 10am in California on January 4, though in “a poor condition”.

Roberts was not ill in the days leading up to her collapse, even conducting Zoom ‘shows’ and live chats with fans as recently as December 19.

The actress, who was born Victoria Leigh Blum in the Bronx, New York, made her acting debut in 1975 with horror film Forced Entry. She is arguably best known for her role as Bond girl Stacey Sutton opposite Roger Moore in 1985’s A View To A Kill, which was Moore’s last outing as 007.

She is also known for film roles in Beastmaster, Sheena, Night’s Eyes and Almost Pregnant.

As for television roles, Roberts joined ABC’s Charlie’s Angels in its fifth and final season. In the late ’90s, she had a recurring supporting role in That ’70s Show as Midge Pinciotti, mother of Donna (Laura Prepon). She left the Fox sitcom in 2001 after its third season, reportedly to care for her terminally ill husband.
